Mel founded this family business in 1967. On the rigorous road of starting from very little, he was able to create and manage a successful business. Even during tough times, and with much sacrifice and hard work the store would soon grow into the area's well recognized carpet & flooring store. As a longtime installation expert, Mel learned his craft working with his installers, and continued to manage and run the store until his retirement in 1999. During Mel's last 10 years before retiring, he managed and taught his new son in-law Owen, sending him to Dale Carnegie courses and Floor Contractors School, to eventually take over the family company. Now with over 35 years in the flooring business, owner Owen Reilly takes considerable pride in sharing the knowledge he learned from his father in-law Mel and many others with customers, continuing the family tradition of
